Representation of Mortgage Lenders
The Law Offices of Michael W. Goldstein represents mortgage
lenders in closing mortgage loans in New York State. We are proud of the

- We carefully review the title search, in order to verify that the lender
receives a title insurance policy providing appropriate title insurance.
Also, we often negotiate extra affirmative insurance addressing various
potentially troublesome covenants and restrictions, zoning setback
requirements, and other potential exceptions from the lender's title insurance
policy.
- We oversee the execution of the loan documents.
- We prepare the detailed HUD-1 Settlement Statement.
- If desired by the mortgage lender, we will accept the loan proceeds for
deposit or transfer into our Federally insured escrow bank account, and disburse the loan proceeds as required by the lender, and the other parties.
- After the closing, we promptly return to the lender the executed loan
documents, HUD-1 Settlement Statement, and other closing documents, and we
provide copies of the mortgage and deed, the originals of which are filed with
the County Clerk's office.
When we close loans for mortgage lenders, we strive to provide the utmost legal
protection for the lender, while also facilitating the entire loan closing

well as representing purchasers and sellers in many real estate transactions,
